Martin Lowe, a renowned music director, orchestrator and arranger, most recently worked on the Tony and Olivier award winning play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour - winner of the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Comedy.
He was the Music Supervisor and orchestrator for the Broadway musical Once, winning the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award for his work. He was the Musical Director for both the original production of Mamma Mia! in London in 1999, and also Mamma Mia! The Movie – winning the Golden Reed Award. He went on to supervise productions in Japan, South Korea, China and Sweden.
Martin just completed work on a new stage version of Disney’s Pinocchio at the Royal National Theatre in London. Other shows at the National Theatre include War Horse, Jerry Springer – The Opera, The Light Princess, Caroline or Change, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Martin worked on the first ever production for National Theatre of Scotland – based on the Neil Gaiman book The Wolves in the Walls, which won the TMA award for best children’s show.
Martin also conducted Les Miserables, Cats, The Full Monty, and Once on this Island in the West End and he spent a few very happy summers composing and orchestrating for the Salzburg Festival.
